Is an MBA worth it? It is debatable, particularly if you don’t have the financial means or time to devoteIn 2015, I went back to school while working full-time in finance at the University of Florida’s online MBA program. The degree cost me $60,000 and took two years to finish, but it gave me the confidence to take business risks, enhanced my decision-making abilities, broadened my network, and even increased my earnings.

It also taught me a lot about entrepreneurship and money.

1. Contracts don’t have to be complicated

Having a contract for every commercial transaction you make might save you from emotional stress and financial disasters. It doesn’t matter whether it’s with a close friend or family member; anything that takes up your time and money should come with a contract.

2. The trick to persuasion

Aristotle’s three key components of persuasion, which I received in my Business Writing and Negotiations course, provided me with the resources and techniques I needed to persuade people to buy into me.

3. Too many options can be a bad thing

I’ve gone into a store numerous times to browse through rows of the same product in many hues, brands, and sizes. They all appeared to be good choices, but I was immobilized and couldn’t choose.
